Os ni keveven | ímaf os levevá
The one departed | is the one who returns

Ujo lífíl veśi | há narele qafinint
From the straightened circle | and the shortened night

Ose tehaśli omali napi | há thanápli anuá
When the blue star rises | and the water burns

Atelen vuranovi śoneau | levev atheqa sumanufint
Then the word long-lost | comes again to light

Aloát eše qašesa | hova naqoín avolá
To be spoke by the watcher | who silent yearns

Ujo śoneausa meros. Jo maán veśint
For the lost one found. Yet to wreak aright,

Ni jone olemat oraqesa | há iśani os solamá
She must slay her rival | and the First World spurn

Letos os ni leveven | Na akele levevá
Lest the one departed | no more return
One of two Diane Duane translations. Here's an excerpt of the Red Rede from A Wizard of Mars. I guess it could count as spoilers, but it's in the front of the book for crying out loud! It's your own fault if you figure out the end of the book.

I tried to keep the rhyme of it, and translated it rather....exactly. It doesn't sound very Anikele-y to me at all. It's more like "let's just translate it so we get what's going on", not "let's translate it so it sounds natural".
Note: This translation uses two obsolete tenses. Those are -á and -át. In order to keep the rhyme I had to use -á.

Original text (English translation) not mine and all that jazz~

It's my own constructed language, Anikele. I've been working on it for about three years.

No problem! Anyone who can make up an entire language is awesome in my eyes.

You should take a look at #Conlangers, then~ There are a bunch of us there, and a lot of the conlangs there are really good!
